Kim watched every day as Benjamin harvested and canned. He worked so hard to build there business. Kim tried to join in but she just wasn't as good and squishing produce into jars and when she tried to tend the market stall the shoppers just looked confused.
Things got very grey for Kim, she went through the days cleaning and caring for Laurie but she wanted more. As the Winter months drew in and the weather drew in further, she found herself, more and more looking to books to pass the time.
Henford had a leave and take library and she made regular trips down to swap books. On one such occasion the pickings were slim and she grabbed a few hobby books. She hadn't expected much but found herself fascinated by the Flower Arranging. She liked flowers but to see how they could be placed to make them even more beautiful...
Using just the few crocuses that were growing in the garden and some of the leaves from the bushes she gave her creation a go.
It wasn't as easy as it first appeared. The flowers just looked like they had been thrown into the vase. The leaves drooped, were too big or too small.
Kim began to think that flower arranging wasn't for her, that she was destined to be a noSim. But she persevered and soon created something acceptable.

She hurried to show Benjamin and he was impressed, he put it on the stall next time he went out selling and lo and behold someone bought it!
Spurred on by this, Kim began making more and more arrangements with her crocuses.
She soon realised that she would need a greater range of flowers to work with so started choosing some new seeds to plant for the spring.

She was in her element. She spent every moment she had arranging flowers. It became as big a passion for her as Benjamin's jamming was for him. And the locals seemed to love her arrangements.
What more could the old market stall holder want?
