The day finally arrived and goodness but it wasn't the weather for it.
The heavens above Henford-on-Bagley opened all day and showed no regard for the celebrations below.
But it did nothing to dampen the spirits of all who attended. Most were Kim's friends as Benjamin had made only a few in his short time in Henford. And there were some who seemed almost offended by the public displays of affection - It's a wedding Agatha!
Despite the weather Benjamin and Kim insisted on getting married outside. That was what they had decided and besides, it is the Henford-on-Bagley way. It was believed that if it rains on your wedding day and you let the drops fall on your wedding clothes and hair then your marriage will know only success.
So in front of the small gathering they said their wedding vows and exchanged rings. It was a magical experience.
'This all started with an apple.'
And it was true, if she hadn't shown that kindness on the first day who knows where they would both be now. Would Benjamin even still be in Henford?
